“All I need for this project can be found on site: the stone of the caves, the glass of the champagne bottles and the wood of the barrels.”
Indeed, the materials that inhabit the site - cork, wood, chalk and glass - inspired the concept. The mineral flooring is a “granito”, made with crushed Dom Ruinart bottles. Design elements were inspired by the beautiful lines formed by the vineyards, which were also the essence of the creation of a “Winepaper”, using a unique process developed specifically for the Champagne house. This custom-made wallpaper made from hemp and dry grape skins adorns the walls. The Winepaper echoes Ruinart’s craft: it follows the harvest and nature.
Deeply rooted in the project’s location, this approach combines modernity and respect for values, in a long time reminiscent of that of maturing wine.
