In collaboration with La Maison Fey, this design redefines the use of leather. Rather than serving as a mere covering, leather is elevated to a structural material, forming beautiful undulating waves held together by a magical compression.
The bench is crafted from Synderme, an innovative material made by repurposing discarded leather pieces. These natural leather strips are ground and combined with paper fibers and a natural latex binding agent, resulting in a resourceful material that retains the essential qualities of leather while embodying a commitment to sustainability.
The bench’s name is inspired by the legendary 1960s surfing film, which follows two surfers on a global journey to find the perfect wave—a fitting tribute to the piece's flowing, wave-like design.
